The Kansas Jayhawks Are Heading Back to the Final Four

2022 Final Four posterDid you know the inventor of the game of basketball, James Naismith, was also the Jayhawks’ first coach way back in 1898? How cool is that?

The Jayhawks are hot in 2022! Kansas coach Bill Self (in his 19th season) should be elated that his team has reached the Final Four. Kansas basketball is heading to its first Final Four since 2018 and honoring the 2020 team in the process.

Kansas is Heading to their 16th Final Four

In 2020, Kansas spent the final month of the season ranked No. 1. Then the coronavirus pandemic hit and the NCAA tournament? Well, that was canceled. But, thankfully, now it’s 2022 and times have changed.

Basketball is going strong, and this year the Jayhawks advanced to their 16th Final Four, winning the Midwest Region for the 13th time. There are a lot of fans celebrating on Mass Street– Massachusetts Street– near the KU campus. Hopefully, Kansas can win its first national title since 2008. They’ve certainly been on a winning streak.
